The World Association for Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counseling (WAPCEPC) was founded in 1997 in relations to the 2nd World Conference for Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy in Lisbon.
WAPCEPC gathers together practitioners, researchers, students etc. working with psychotherapies that have their roots in Carl Rogers’ person-centered therapy. The goal is to promote and develop this perspective on therapy and also to create dialogue between the different person-centered and experiential psychotherapies. Since there are more uniting aspects than separating ones among these.
WAPCEPC are holding world conferences every second year, and they are the initiators of the peer-reviewed journal Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies which is published four times a year.
PCE 2022 in Copenhagen will be the 15th World Conference for Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy, organized by the board of the Danish Association for Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy (Dansk Selskab for Personcentreret og Oplevelsesorienteret Psykoterapi, DSPOP).
